Here are a few of the benefits that make lip blush great:
HEALING: Lip blush lasts about 2-3 years, and heals the most quickly of all permanent makeup procedures!
You can expect to feel some tenderness for about 24-hours post-procedure, and your lips will be fully healed in 5-7 days.
There is ZERO downtime with lip blush! However, if you have a lot of filler, you should expect to see more swelling immediately after the procedure so you may want to avoid booking any major events that evening.
The initial colour you see will lighten by about 50% within 7 days of the procedure. Over the next 3-6 weeks, the colour will soften as it settles into your natural lip tissue.
Your healed result is completely customizable! We can create a barely-there, subtle enhancement OR we can give you a more defined shape and colour. The choice is yours!
If you have *ever* had a cold sore, you will need to obtain preventative medication to take 3-5 days before and after your procedure. This can be easily obtained at your local pharmacy (Cyclovir or similar).
NOTE: If you are over age 55, please send a well-lit photo of your lips to forever.flawless.pmu@gmail.com before booking your lip blush procedure

Choosing the right lip blush colour can feel so daunting!
Hopefully this video will help to demystify the process, and help you to find some peace of mind before booking your lip blush.
I have created this video with clients in mind, but beyond what is mentioned here, there are numerous factors to consider from the artist's perspective.
Clients - keep it simple by thinking, "YOUR LIPS, BUT BETTER!"

I always block 3 full hours for any lip blush service. This includes time for paperwork, photos, mapping the lip shape, and setting you up with aftercare. The procedure itself typically takes anywhere from 1-2 hours.
Over the years, I have developed a technique that keeps the vast majority of my clients comfortable throughout the entire procedure. I use a numbing cream before we start the procedure, and will also apply numbing throughout to keep you feeling good while I'm finishing my work. In fact... Many of my clients fall asleep while I'm working!
We provide detailed aftercare instructions to help maintain your results. The most important part of any permanent makeup procedure is keeping the area clean, and avoiding excessive UV exposure while the skin is in a delicate state. Lip blush heals the most quickly of all permanent makeup procedures, and doesn't require any downtime!
You should know that IF you carry the HSV-1 virus, lip blush is likely to trigger an outbreak. While lip blush does not cause cold sores, it can result in an outbreak on those who carry the virus as it involves trauma to the lip tissue.
A breakout can usually be avoided by talking to your doctor to obtain anti-viral medications prior to your procedure. Typically, my clients are provided with Valtrex, Acyclovir, or similar for 5 days before and after their lip blush procedure. However, your doctor will prescribe the dosage they see fit, so please refer to their expertise!
In preparation for your lip blush procedure, you should:
Remember; an artist's work only looks its best on the proper canvas. If you arrive with dry, sun damaged, flakey lips... We can't work miracles! Healthy lips result in smooth, even colour.
Please put in the work to ensure your lips are in optimal health!
Of course! In fact, I love working on lips with filler.
You should know that lips with filler are more likely to swell post-procedure, so you may want to allow yourself an evening without plans on the day of your procedure. Other than that small caveat, lip blush is an incredible way to restore lost colour and define your shape post-filler.
Please allow a minimum of 3 weeks for fresh filler to settle before you come in for a lip blush. If you've had your filler for longer than that, you can book any time!
You sure can!
If you decide to get filler after you've had a lip blush procedure done, please note that you *may* require a touch up after your filler settles. The filler will stretch out your lip tissue, thereby dispersing the pigment and making it look lighter. You might love this look, or you might want to add a bit of colour to make your lip blush pop more once you've reached your filler goals!
Please allow your lip blush to heal for a minimum of 14 days before adding filler to your lips.
You must forego makeup for 7 days after you complete a lip blush procedure, but after that, you're welcome to use any products you'd like!
You can use a lipstick to change the shade of your lips, just as you would have done prior to having lip blush. You may also use a tinted gloss to really make your lip blush pop!
The choice is entirely yours, but most of my clients find that they're so happy with their healed lip blush that they just apply lip balm most days, and save the makeup for special occasions.
